Phần mềm sử dụng trong bài học: Bài giảng được thiết kế và biên soạn bằng: + Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 + Adobe presenter 10.0, đáp ứng chuẩn HTML5. + Chương trình xử lý ảnh: Adobe Photoshop + Chương trình xử lý video: Camtasia Studio 8 II. Các tư liệu trích dẫn tham khảo + Các đoạn thu âm, ghi hình do giáo viên thực hiện. + Tư liệu ảnh, video từ internet. + Sách giáo khoa tiếng anh 8- Bộ Giáo Dục và Đào Tạo + www.youtube.com for more information III- Objectives 1. Knowledge: - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: + get to know more about the helpful and useful activities for our community. + Know how to enroll the clubs that students want to take part in. - Vocabularies: enroll (v), application form (n), outdoor activities (n), hobby (n), fill out (v), sign (v) - Structures: Gerund (V-ing): like/ enjoy/ love + V-ing 2. Skills: All four skills and pay attention to develop the listening and reading skills. 3. Education: Educate students love the volunteer work much more in order to help our community be closer and friendlier and our earth become greener, cleaner and more beautiful.   4. Slide 5: Video clip of some activties that students often take part in. Stages Proceduces 1. Warm up - Let students observe the Networks named “ activities that Y & Y often take part in” - Teacher sets the scene and explains about two organizations Y & Y 4
  5. Teacher sets the scene of this lesson to help students have the way to study the lesson better. Teacher introduces new lesson 2. Presentation - Teacher introduces part Getting started listen and read by doing exercise “Drag Drop” * Vocabulary: 5
  6. - Teacher introduces some extra vocabulary and explain them by using techniques such as pictures, synonym. - Ask students read after teacher and remember the stress and function of each vocabulary. - Check students’ understanding by matching. ( Students can finish this exercise by interaction on their computers) When students finish it, they can click submit, their computers will give marks for them automatically. * Grammar: -Teacher presents grammar and explains the form and usage of “ gerund (V-ing)” by examples. - In order to help students understand about “Gerund” more clearly and better, students can do exercise with five sentences named “ choose the best answer A, B, C or D” by students’ interaction on their computers. When students finish all sentences they click the submit, the computers will give marks automatically. 6
  7. 3. Practice Before reading the text. + Teacher ltes students look and guess five T/ F statements. + Teacher sets the scene by picture and two questions that relate to the text. And then have students listen to the tape to check T/ F statements In order to help students have a little knowledge about the following text. So students can understand the contents of the text more clearly and better. + Let students finish T/ F statements after listening . 8
  8. - After listening to the text, students can know the answer for two questions. And the let students listen to the text twice and do exercies fill in the gap. 10
  9. + Tescher gives the key of exercies fill in the gap. + Let students read the text again and then do exercies Multiple choice and matching 11
  10. - Let students look at two students to role play the text. - After matching the video clip of two students. Students can check their understanding about the text 12
  11. by matching the question with its answer - Ask student to remind the text and observe Nga’s details through the above exercise” Matching” 13
  12. + Result of doing exercies + The video relates the real life. In the aim of this video, students can understand and communicate the real life when students want to take part in some clubs. Through that, this lesson can educate the social skills for students. 4. Production 14
  13. - Teacher gives Mind map for students to help them remember and remind the main content of this lesson. Through it, students can communicate well and know how to enroll the other clubs 5. Homework - Teacher guides students how to study at home. + Learn new words and grammar by heart. + Practice the dialogue fluently. + Do exercise 5,6,7 in workbook. Prepare unit 6: speak + listen. Reference for completing this lesson. 15
